- Birth of palm-sized meter that enables measurement with micro-volume of blood-
The PocketChem VC PV-1350, to be released by ARKRAY, Inc. (hereafter, 'ARKRAY'), is a meter than enables the measurement of reducing substances in blood in just 40 seconds. Using the dedicated VC Sensor, the meter measures the reducing power of reducing substances in the blood from just 0.3μL (half the size of a sesame seed) of finger-pricked blood and converts it to an equivalent value of vitamin C concentration for display. With its compact palm-sized design it allows for simple measurement to be conducted at any place.
Reducing substances serve various roles, including reducing oxidative damage of biological tissue in the body that occurs due to reactive oxygen species. Reducing substances is the general term used to describe this substance group, which has been subject to a wide range of research in recent years, including studies related to health care. The PocketChem VC PV-1350 can be effectively used in a wide range of territories including clinical research by delivering insights such as an indication of the substance amount when administering reducing substances into the body.
